Christmas Greetings

Hi,

On behalf of all the Leaders I'd just like to wish all our members and supporters a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Just a reminder there are no meetings this week, but we're back to normal next week. Have a great time and we'll see you in the new year.

Ian

Message from Spud

We've received this Christmas email from Spud (Andy).....

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Sorry I’ve not been in touch sooner... as usual, things have been pretty hectic! I’m working in the Yorkhill Children’s Hospital in Glasgow at the moment – the job here is fantastic – but I move on to another hospital to do adult General Surgery at the start of February.

I’ve got involved with a Cub pack here now... 4th Glasgow... The group has been on the go since 1908, but it’s struggling at the moment through lack of adults. When I joined, they only had a GSL (acting as CSL), BSL and ABSL. We’ve got good sized Beaver and Cub sections, and as usual we don’t have any shortage of kids. But the main problem at the moment is that we need to start a Scout Troop. I’ve taken on the CSL role, and am working on drumming up more adult support from parents, so hopefully in the New Year we’ll be in a better position to juggle things to start a Scout Troop too – especially cause half the kids are 10 already! I’ve taken the liberty of copying you guys by setting up a blog! http://4thGlasgowCubs.blogspot.com

I keep an eye on your blog too! Glad to see you’re all still having plenty of fun! Looks like you had a couple of great camps towards the end of the season. It’d be great to hear from you all sometime... take care & have a great Christmas!

Andy
